Who Are You?
I've been around for decades at this point and while I am a large failure at everything I do, at least I have had some fun experiences. I wanted to be the next Jeff Gerstmann and it never worked out. I've written for long dead online publications like VG-Force, E-Empire, GoFanboy, Game Play Today, and my own Empty Lifebar.
A living 'legend' at RetroAchievements who has been almost every role at one point. The creator there for the events system including mainstay events like Achievement of the Week, Challenge League, The Unwanted, RA Roulette, RAD and one off events like Rack It Up. I co-created RANEWs the digital magazine that is still running today on RetroAchievements. I started up DevQuest for Developers to complete bounties to earn badges on site. The things I've done for RA go on and on from 2014 to present. I've also been involved with TrueTrophies since 2022 as part of their events team helping with events and running the GTTSC aka Trophy War event yearly.
Since 2015 I've streamed on Twitch streaming a variety of backlog as well as The Sony Experience, a journey to beat as many ps1 and ps4 games as I can. I may never have hit it big there but I've spent the last decade building connections between myself and other streamers.
I love trophy hunting but my thing has always been about beating games. Lifetime that number has been over 2000 for a good decade. I started counting in 1998 but at this point I've more than hit my goal for my life and it is just about how much I can see still in the land of gaming.
All of this is just online, there are so many things I've done with success and failure offline as well but the key thing for me is I've done it primarily thru gutting it out thru a lot of pain and bad health. My story will eventually end and that is ok, but see this as the scribing of my journey.
