Smash Bros Ultimate (Switch)
Fellow streamer Timzy88 (https://www.twitch.tv/timzy88) and I started a WAR in Smash Bros Ultimate where we have the entire roster and do 1v1 battles without items, on random stages. It was a really fun two hours of Smash chaos and we paused with him at 64 fighters left and me at 58. From this I learned I was really good with Pit and Dark Pit. Who knew?
The best moment came when it was my Snake vs his Little Mac, who had been on a 3 game streak, and I don't think Timzy had fought many Snakes before as he was surprised by the grenades and rockets. So during this chaos I planted C4, and when he launched me I just survived and off screen blew the C4 and won the match. It was a pop off!
Frog Feast (Jaguar)

I am always amazed when I find myself playing systems like the Jaguar in 2025, somewhere an Atari executive is spinning in their grave. Frog Feast is basically frog bog...but better. Instead of just jumping from pad to pad you can also butt stomp and stun the opponent frog. This really adds an element that you could def see lending itself to competitive bogging.
Sly Cooper (PS2)

I once played this back on the PS2 in like 2007 but I got stalled at the third world's DDR boss. I just couldn't do it, and I struggled like hell with this game then. So this is my first time in 18 years (Unless I briefly played this on ps3 and forgot) and I am adoring the game but I feel very bad at it.
The entire game has this Saturday Morning Cartoon vibe presentation but with the punishing one hit your dead vibes of Crash bandicoot 1. I think my favorite part is either the levels all feel very different and they aren't afraid of being short. Or its that collecting all the little hint bottles lets you crack a safe for a new permanent power up. A formula like this confuses me why this series died after 4, you could do so many things with this concept.
I finished the first world and called it a day. Need to get it done before next Sunday to finish it for Achievement of the Month at RA. So a world a day should be doable.
