Inscryption (PS4)

I had agreed to play this on a day KingS1zzle could watch as I had previously tried it and didn't really get it. This time I certainly got it but I don't have many nice things to say. There is a value that Twitch user Smight has for SNES games during his ranking to find the worst one, and that is 'Hates the player'. Inscryption would score a 5/5 for hating the player, never have I ever seen a game so hellbent to punish the player for going 'too fast' off of beginners luck forcing a death for the 'story'.

The game has a great look but trying to make a deckbuilding roguelite only works if you let the player have any power or growth instead of finding ways to punish the player endlessly. People may say Binding of Isaac hurts the player but it really doesn't, that game may not lead you to the path you want but it lets you walk the path. Inscryption is hellbent to break your kneecaps as often as it can.

I said I'd give it one more shot in a week but yikes.

Multiversus (PS5)

This may go down as one of the blandest gaming days I ever had. With the servers shutting down I needed to finish my trophies for the plat as well my friend and I were close. Cue up four hours of Lebron James and Shaggy from Scooby Doo running willingly into a cloud of Joker gas to end the bonus mission over and over and over. Since this was a mini game, any outcome was a victory so we did this to grind out 300 wins and 500 party matches finished. This left with me one trophy to go.
