Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE (Switch)
The penultimate dungeon for this game required me to go around to every previous dungeon and do newly unlocked segments. Storywise this was written as the main character getting a fancy new leadership ability allowing him to blow up the sealed doors I encountered.
Actuality wise its a pretty annoying concept for a game already feeling like they ran out of budget or maybe even care. All of this really ran together in a way that really leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Especially when I hit the studio and they made me run fetch quests again just like the original dungeon. I really felt my teeth grind there.
The only highlight was the boss fight for giving a challenge but then again this also kinda sucked? They reused Yashiro as a boss here but its a dark version...except there is no story explanation WHY. It really fuels into the greater issues of this 'dungeon' or chapter being a mish mash of copy and paste.
