Let's Try This Again

Let's Try This Again

There has always been this attitude I see from well haters that if you start something that is it. You are locked in forever on this concept whether it works or not, whether you enjoy it or not. Otherwise? You are a quitter. A Failure. You don't deserve to attempt creativity.

I see this attitude in everything from art to sports to hobbies like streaming. I'm sure there is some woman harassing another poor woman somewhere about her simple gardening hobby.

That isn't what life is. You get up, you try again. The world can be against you but you can improve, you can find your way and you can adjust to what isn't working. It's ok to be a failure if you like it, say hello to my ten year+ twitch 'streaming side career'. I still do it because I enjoy it.

So what went wrong here? I got caught up in this idea of blogging about my progress like I did once before many many moons ago. The issue is, not even that nobody cares, but I don't either. How many times can I write about Tokyo Mirage Sessions middling sections as I wait for that grand finish article? Enough apparently.

So lets refocus. I am going to post when I have things I want to talk about, its both better content and a better use of my time. Stuff like "Mega Man X7: I don't think its entirely awful".

There are other things I just don't think I'll write about until Goty season like DK Bonanza. Is it likely my early frontrunner? yes. Is it one of the best games I've ever played? Yes. And yet I have nothing really profound to say unless I just ruin the full scope and its too soon for that.

In summary, I am abandoning the idea of daily posts for more of the stuff that comes up when I have an itch to scratch. Even if thats a stupid top 10 article.
